Our Peaveys are designed and constructed for balance and easy handling. The handles are made of Hardwood. The  Hooks and Pikes are made of high-carbon steel. The stop is to prevent the hook from falling back onto the handle.

Any hook can be placed on any handle. Our # 5 and # 7 Hooks are used to handle smaller size poles. Peaveys are intended to have only human force applied to their use. Adding mechanical force on the handle can only result in tool damage and possible serious injury to the one using it in this manner.
