Light, Heavy and Extra-heavy Tamp Bars Tamp Bars - Curved Tamp Bars
The Tamp Bars are offered in a wide selection of Light, Heavy, Extra Heavy, Steel and Curved styles. The handles for the Light, Heavy and Extra Heavy Tamp Bars tamp-options.jpg (7992 bytes) are the same with only the thickness of the steel boot changing. Tampers are used to flatten and smooth dirt, stone, asphalt and other material.

Steel Tamp Bars are made entirely of Steel. The handles are made of 1" diameter steel pipe. The Tamping Heads are made of malleable iron. The heads are shrunk onto the handle so that they resist becoming loose. Although made entirely of metal, the construction gives it balance and weight for efficient use.

Curve-head Tamp Bar Curved Head Tamp Bars are designed and built for a good tamp job around posts. This is the only Tamp Bar which can tamp in those hard to get at places. Because of the curved head it is possible to get closer to the wall of the hole and closer to the pole itself. Its design helps prevent "knuckle-busting" on the pole.
